Though he eventually moved out of New York, Mr. Kinkaide never forgot the club that had been an important part of his young adulthood. Near the end of his life he directed his son Perry to contact Wet Pants and establish a scholarship fund for other young sailors.

Keeping the tradition alive, we are pleased to announce the 2010 Edwin Kinkaide Founder’s Memorial Scholarship. This $300 scholarship is open to any high school or undergraduate student who is a member in good standing Wet Pants Sailing Association and is pursuing post secondary education at an accredited 2 or 4 year college or vocational school.
