ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE, AND CONSENT AGREEMENT

I acknowledge that sailing, boating, and related waterfront activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to capsize, collision, slips and falls, changing weather conditions, equipment malfunction, immersion in water, drowning, physical exertion, serious bodily injury, and death.

I understand these risks and voluntarily choose to participate in the free trial sailing experience offered by Wet Pants Sailing Association, Inc.  I certify that I, and any minor child for whom I am signing, are physically capable of participating.

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with participation in this activity.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree not to hold Wet Pants Sailing Association, Inc., its officers, directors, instructors, employees, volunteers, members, agents, sponsors, and affiliated organizations responsible for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or death arising from participation in this activity.

I authorize Wet Pants Sailing Association, Inc. to obtain emergency medical treatment for me or my minor child if deemed necessary, and I accept responsibility for any resulting costs.

If signing on behalf of a minor participant, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child, consent to the child’s participation, acknowledge the risks described above, and agree to these terms on the child’s behalf.

I have read this agreement, understand its contents, and sign it voluntarily.
